Nerf guns modded into Valix tech

I took them both apart completely and used spray cans to give them their basic black. All the blue details were done by hand though.

The Nerf Firestrike is my favourite one. Not just because it looks a bit more interesting with the silver I decided to add, but because I even went as far as to replace the red LED with a blue one (as you can see in the last picture). That made me feel so in tune with Jay when I held that soldering iron in my hands and fiddled around with the cables to make it work. ;u; I know the plunger rod is still bright orange, but to get it loose and get the spring off I'd have to risk breaking things. Also, because you pull it back to shoot, the paint wouldn't survive for long anyway.

Our black kitty Lux loves it too. He goes crazy following my blue laser and still fetches all the darts you shoot away. He was the main reason my boyfriend and I bought a few Nerf guns to begin with. xD
