I haven't done one of these in forever, but I figured I may as well, since I haven't posted anything in a while 
To keep things a little more interesting I'll have Jay answer the questions for me.

1. Gummy bears or gummy worms?
"What an odd question. They are very similar at their core. I suppose I would go for the gummy bear because it's cuter."
2. What (or who) is your inspiration for drawing?
"I do indeed draw, in a way. Was that a lucky guess or did you see one of my older blueprints lying around? Either way my inspiration is drawn from so many sources it would be nigh impossible to list them all. Sometimes the shape of my designs is symbolic, sometimes they represent the forms you would find in nature. More than anything however, I create designs with the full intent to help others. One could say I get inspired by problems that need solving."
3. Favorited animated movie?
"What kind of question is that? Do I look like I have the time to delve into fantasy stories? If I HAVE to watch something, animated or not, at least make it something educational. Preferably a subject matter I've yet to study."
4. What character do you find yourself drawing the most?
"I don't draw characters! How can you ask me this after my previous answers. Your stupidity hurts my brain."
5. If you had the power to choose one video game to get a remake or a sequel, what game would it be?
"Hahaha, oh deary me... I do apologize. Yoru can be so blunt at times... Anyway, video games you say? I do enjoy some good puzzlers at times, but they seem to get remakes and sequels all the time already. The same goes for dancing games and other such interactive things. In the rare cases where I felt the video game market didn't have what I was looking for, I simply programmed something myself."
6. Favorite type of cookie?
"Ohh~! I do have a sweet tooth, I love cookies. Do cupcakes count? I made some earlier today, you can have some if you like! They're prepared with all natural ingredients, lots of fruit and of course lots of love!"
7. What's your favorite drawing style (ex. traditionally, digitally, tablet, paper and pen, etc.)?
"Hmn. Holograms! It makes things so easy to coordinate and adjust while running a live simulation. See? Here's a simple example. Drawing a blueprint the traditional way is fun too though. Just less efficient."
8. Do you prefer drawing cartoony or realistically?
"GUESS. Mrfbl stwpid qweftions."
9. Have you ever dedicated yourself to something? And if you did, how long did you live up to that?
"Oh... most certainly so. Once I'm dedicated to something I tend to see it through until the very end. More often than not without any regards towards my own health or safety... It's not my best trait I suppose."
10. What job have you always wanted?
"Oh dear, hah... Suffice it to say, whenever there was ever a job I wished to delve deeper into, that same dedication would ensure I'd go ahead and learn all the requirements to perform it. Is that a bad trait too?"
11. What's the funniest thing that happened to you in real life? (If you don't want to answer that, then just type ":0")
"That may very well be the fun I've had with this hologram! Just look at it wiggle! Hahaha~!"
12. Do you call it salt or sodium chloride?
"Such a silly last question. Sodium chloride of course! Unless it's used for food related purposes, I get such weird looks if I don't simply call it salt. Was that truly it for this... interesting interview? Well then, I hope it was satisfactory. Goodbye, be safe, and do feel free to come back again~!"

My idea will be a large project, but it's something I've meant to do for quite a while. I want to create a folder in my gallery with an overview of all my OC's. And not just any refs, I want to go back to my roots and draw them how they were when they were first introduced. Untarnished by story and rp, these will be the versions most representative of everyone's true nature.
It will help me organize a bit x'D There are many things that happened in rp which I will potentially use, but also many things I will not. As it stands now I've drawn scenes and refs of many different plots and different events throughout time, some of which no longer happen in the eventual story. It gets confusing!
Jay tends to have a different haircut and behaviour with every reincarnation. Some broken hearts were healed. Some untameable monsters became lapdogs. And this is all great! But it will be nice to have a place with refs of everyone at introductory level.
The same goes for many important areas of the story. Certain cities and landmarks should get a more finalized design. We'll see how far I can get x'D Of course I'll still be drawing other things as well. Filling up that folder will be a gradual process.
And then there's the comic. Oh man am I being disappointingly slow, I know it all too well. It hasn't been until recently that I finally found some inspiration to draw again. I won't make any promises of new pages just yet, first I want to try to be more active again at least. Someday I'll be able to draw as much as I used to, where drawings show up at a regular weekly or even daily basis. That's when I will continue. So I can promise a new page every week...
I'm also considering to open up commissions again to get back into drawing. Would anyone be interested in that?

A story of forgotten love

This year has been a terrible year of art for me. It was filled with more downs than ups, heavily influencing my ability to draw and write. And if there are still people watching me, I feel like I owe all of you an explanation. It began so well after all, I wrote a journal in March filled with new ideas on how to continue my comic from this point forward and I really looked forward to drawing pages regularly! Yet it seems... this wasn't meant to be.
Unfortunately there has been lots of drama in my family, all in the name of a religion. Especially my grandmother has shown a side to her I never realized existed. When I was little I practically spent more time staying over at her place than at home, that's how much I loved being there and that's how much I loved her. She was the kindest woman I knew, she was the first to jump up and help if anything happened. When my parents divorced she did everything to help our family get through it just to name an example.
Little did I know however... that her smile was nothing but a mask that hid her true heart.
As the people in our family grew and evolved, some chose a different path than her. Everyone in the world only ever follows their heart. Yet instead of respecting people's choices, she began to cast people out. Her own children and even her grandchildren weren't save from her wrath. The woman I once held in high regards was able to turn her back on the people closest to her.
"The solution lies with you." She wrote on a brochure from her religion, before slipping it under the door of people like my little sister and my aunt. How lost can a person be if they think psychological blackmail is going to make things better for anyone? She could just as well have written: "Come here and do exactly what I want if you want to be worthy of my love."
The sad thing is... I know she isn't a unique case. I've talked with more people who suffered by the hands of the same religion. They manipulate people into abandoning everyone who's hearts follow a different path, even if it's your own child. What kind of person is able to do that? How can a religion be promoting that all love should be conditional?
To make matters worse, they've managed to manipulate my little brother as well. My grandmother was obviously encouraging him, but the thing that really got to me... was that she was also encouraging him to stay as far away from us as possible.
My already damaged heart broke then and there. For years had I walked between the crossfire of the two opposing sides in this family-war, but enough was enough. I wrote her a letter where I poured my heart out and I told her that she had lost me and my husband as well.
On top of it all she has a heart condition and it needs an open heart surgery if she wants to survive. She refuses any form of blood transfusion though, and there literally isn't a surgeon in this country who's willing to take such chances. And it only makes sense, who could have someone on their operation table and willingly let them die even if they have the means and resources to save them? No-one. I know I couldn't.
From what I heard she's now sitting at home refusing any form of medical or psychological help they could still offer her. She's given up on living and as such will probably not have much time left.
So there you have it... My life is currently complicated, with much more emotions and heartbreaking moments than I could hope to describe here in this journal. If you ever come across Jehovah's Witnesses then please be so careful. They terrify me right now. I've seen their true faces... and it was the face of pure evil.
However!
I don't want to be only dark and depressing in this update. Even though their dark empire once held a strong choking grasp on our lives, most of us did escape! I'm really looking forward to Christmas, the bond of my family has only grown stronger thanks to everything that has happened over the years. Everyone bought presents for everyone and it's going to be a great day. People like my grandmother made me realize all the more who's love is really true and unconditional. And it only ever made me stronger for the future.
As for new year's resolutions, I have those too!
Mainly I refuse to let this awful religion tear me apart any longer. They betrayed everything I believe in, every aspect of love. But as long as I know that there are still so many wonderful people all around me on this world, who would never abandon the people they love so easily, I'll be okay!
Another big resolution is of course my comic. More than ever I want to spread some love with my characters and share my story. I haven't given up.
Let's all spread our love together next year so we never forget our true hearts, and let's hope those who are still lost find their way back home.

Comic update

It's been a while since I last posted a page. The main reason is because I can be terribly indecisive! xD It's quite hard to find that perfect moment in time to begin your story if you have a world that's existed for millions of cycles. I was once given the advice to just start at the beginning, so that's pretty much what I tried. The more I've been thinking about it though, the more it feels like a mistake to begin with all this prequel material. It provides some spoilers of what could be potentially interesting plots later on, next to the fact that most of the characters in these ancient times won't be alive in the future. That's not to say the pages I made so far are no longer valid, everything you saw there still happened. But I believe that story is much better off if it's told through flashbacks or drawn as bonus material.
Right now it feels like a much better plan to begin with a few of my main sfera characters. People such as Raymond, Cathar and Sferath (in case you know a little about my oc's XD ). If I look back at what I do in rp for example, I always go to those characters in that day and age of the world, it's what I consider 'the present' and it's what most defines me and my story. Most of my gallery all shows artwork from around that era as well. So why not use that same strategy to finally choose the beginning point for my comic all the same.
I once drew a bloody intro showing what happened to Raymond and Jay when they were little, that might be a much better place to start. It gives a nice preview of what you can expect in my stories, and I'll be able to focus on my main three species in the day and age I know most about. Of course those intro pages will need to get completely redrawn as they were merely sketches, so you can look forward to that. When that is done I will make a minor skip in time to continue with Ray and Jay grown-up and see where that leads me.
If there was anyone at all following my comic, that's how it stands right now. xD I'm really sorry for my seemingly inactiveness. I'm still around and I refuse to give up on my dream to get my story told one way or the other. I'll do my best to get this new plan active and rolling soon!

"I'm not certain if my parents of old had a specific reason to choose that name. As for Yoru--"
"Ye I can explain myself thanks. Back on Gaia we were once born as 'Hiru', which means 'day'. But once they figured out I'm around as well, they started calling me differently. A complete opposite, we differ as day and 'night'; 'Yoru'. That name stuck around..."

"That would be taken."

"Well yes, I can control and read many forms of energy. Especially aura. It tells me things such as someone's species, gender, age, or even their emotional state."

I dunno... in balance? Is that the right word? I've taken lives I won't deny it. And don't look at me like that, the lives I took were far from innocent. Some left me no choice either... it was self-defense."

"Deep breaths... I'm okay... Animal you say? It would be a fox, most likely."

"It's okay Yoru, I'm alright... I'll say it anyway. I'm afraid to lose the people around me, the people I love. It's happened too many times already... Either I failed to keep them safe or I passed away myself. Imagine waking up in a far away place, many decades or even ages after you last saw your loved ones, realizing they must be long gone by now... That's what reincarnation feels like. It's frightening, every single time."

"Alright then I'll describe it! I'm wearing a black tank top with blue jeans, basically. I made some modifications and tinkered in some tech here and there... At first glance it would seem like there are glowing blue lines and circles sewn all throughout my clothes."

"Ohh that would have to be tea with homemade strawberry flavoured cupcakes! Does that count as food?"
"Who cares if it counts! Counts for me!"

"That's somewhat of a hard question to answer... I don't consider myself high class at all, but others might put me in that category even if just because I was raised in this life by 'the Mother' herself."

"You had to ask. You just had to."
"It's alright I won't say any names to save time. I will give them the exact number. There are currently 65092 people I would call friend, although I should mention only 219 of them I truly trust with my secrets. That said, my closest friends and the people I see regularly, the ones who I entrusted with a gizmo... that's a much smaller number. 24 to be exact. I suppose they could be called my 'true' friends."
28. What are your thoughts on pie?
"Ohh I absolutely love it! You could add it to the foods that tempt me. Especially lumfruit pie... I love lumfruit!"

"Tea! You're still deaf! Tempting foods, your twenty third question! Also you're gonna make me hungry, enough about foods and drinks!"
